Mr. Chalermchai Asayot, Founder & Design Director of SaTa Na Architect Co., Ltd. (Architecture major alumnus), Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design, Naresuan University, won the Winner Award | Designer Choice Award 2026 at Architect '69. His work, "The Delta Stack Pavilion – SCG x SaTa Na Architect," was recognized for its powerful concept and material usage, impressing the judges. It's not just a pavilion, but an experience that truly allows you to 'be with the material.'
Design Concept: The simple triangular shape is reinterpreted through rhythmic stacking, creating a pavilion that is both striking and invites visitors to 'coexist' with the material in another dimension.
The Delta Stack Pavilion creates an experience akin to a large cave, allowing visitors to interact with SCG materials through practical use, whether walking, sitting, lying, or leaning, transforming 'viewing materials' into 'living with materials.' This work clearly reflects this year's Thematic Pavilion concept, in terms of creativity, design linked to practical use, and the interpretation of materials beyond their original boundaries. Although the Designer Choice award is given to only one recipient, throughout the judging process, the committee consistently praised the strength of many Thematic Pavilion works, each with its unique concept, storytelling, and material interpretation. The event took place at Architect '69 from April 28 to May 3, 2026, at Challenger Hall 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
