Congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Witiya Pittungnapoo, a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design, Naresuan University. She has served as the Co-focal point of Sukhothai Creative City for UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) Crafts & Folk Art from October 31, 2019, to the present, and as the Regional Coordinator of UCCN for Crafts and Folk Art in Asia and the Pacific, overseeing 25 member cities from January 14, 2024, to the present.
She has been selected to serve as the Deputy Coordinator of UCCN for Crafts & Folk Art Subnetwork. This role aims to promote the mission of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and develop the potential of creative cities in crafts and folk art for 88 member cities across all 5 regions, contributing to the goal of sustainable urban development. Her term will be for 2 years, from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2028.
