“Excellence in Arts and Cultural Heritage leads to research that creates new knowledge based on ethical cultural heritage management. It also promotes creative innovation to increase the value of contemporary cultural products or services, uplifting the community economy and the value of local wisdom. Networking and strengthening mechanisms for area development at the international level lead to sustainable development.”
The curriculum was developed to respond to the 20-Year Cultural Strategy and the Higher Education Plan for National Human Resource Production and Development (2021-2027). It aims to produce individuals with knowledge, understanding, and expertise at the highest creative level, with leadership in art and cultural studies, intellectual property creation, and value enhancement for society, elevating the nation’s cultural value to international recognition.
The curriculum is connected to the UNESCO Creative Cities Networks (UCCN) Sukhothai as a City of Crafts and Folk Art, UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC), collaboration with the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, under the Thai-UK World-class University Consortium project, and the CCACHP Research Unit for cultural heritage conservation.
