“To produce Doctor of Fine Arts graduates who integrate art and design knowledge and skills in cooperation with creative research methodologies for contributing a new cross-disciplinary knowledge on the foundation of local art and culture with responsibility for society and economic situations in both local and international contexts.”
The revised doctoral curriculum in Art and Design has been developed in accordance with the 20-Year National Strategy, the National Economic and Social Development Plan, and the Naresuan University 15-Year Long-Term Development Plan. The curriculum emphasizes learning through the analysis and evaluation of art and design works via creative research processes, research question formulation for development, collaboration with external networks, cross-disciplinary integration in teaching and learning, and the creation of art and design innovation for community and social benefit.
The curriculum focuses on 4 learning outcomes: Breadth of Knowledge (cross-disciplinary integration across departments, faculties, universities, and external organizations), Depth of Knowledge (creative research skills following proper methodology and hands-on experiential learning), Internationalization (international standards and cross-cultural exchange), and Art, Design, or Innovation for Quality of Life Improvement of people and society.
